How to Help “Maskne:” Taking Care of Your Skin While Following the Mask Rules

Welcome to the new world of masks! If you are anything like me, lately I have been noticing some skin reactions from wearing a face mask. This side effect is referred to as “maskne” or mask acne. The friction, heat, moisture, and clogged pores could lead to redness, pimples, and/or dryness around the mouth, cheeks, and jawline. I referred to the experts (aka our estheticians here at Touch MedSpa ?) for some advice on how to combat this. Let us keep reading!

What Products do you Recommend?

Erin: Blemish + Age Defense: This oil-free serum targets skin that is prone to breakouts. It reduces the formation of acne and clogged pores, while also improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!  
Clay Masque: This non-drying mask with natural earth clays lift impurities and help to remove excess oils. It will help calm the skin while also gently exfoliating.

Autumn: Retexturing Activator: If you want hydration and exfoliation, this product is for you! Retexturing activator is an oil-free serum that exfoliates skin and replenishes moisture for radiant, smooth skin.

Candace: ZO Complexion Renewal Pads:  These moistened pads remove dead skin cells to prevent clogged pores and provide antioxidant benefits. They reduce oiliness, while calming and soothing irritated skin.

Any Other Tips?

-One of the best things you can do for your skin to keep it in check is to get a facial treatment once a month! These can be done at Touch MedSpa! Along with a lot of other awesome treatments as well ?
