Who can be treated?
Most adults can be treated using laser hair removal. The treatments work best of lighter skin and darker hair. This is because the laser targets hair follicles, which absorb melanin. The more melanin in the hair follicle the less effective the laser can be. Hair lacking pigment cannot be removed such as white or gray hair. Laser hair removal is also less effective on red hair. In years before laser treatments could not be used on blond hairs, but can now be removed with newer technology. Most commonly unwanted hair is more noticeable when darker and coarser which is the best hair type for removal. Set up a consultation to determine if you are a good candidate, as there are solutions for all skin types and most hair types.
